pUS Lacrosse has changed the safety requirements for women's and girls' lacrosse eyewear, starting in January of 2020. Specifically, all eyewear must be SEI certification standards and meet the ASTM Standard F3077-2017 for the 2020 season. The rule change was made to minimize or significantly reduce injury to the eye and adnexa due to impact and penetration of lacrosse balls.
