The University of Denver Men's Lacrosse team, also known as the Pioneers, competes in the NCAA Division I level as a member of the Summit League. Led by head coach Bill Tierney, the team has a rich history of success, including winning the NCAA National Championship in 2015. The Pioneers' mascot is Denver Boone, a mountain man who embodies the spirit of the Rocky Mountains. The team plays its home games at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium, a state-of-the-art facility located on the DU campus in Denver, Colorado.
