Colorado College ripped off a five-goal run to being the fourth quarter on its way to defeating Babson College, 14-7, in non-conference men's lacrosse action on Friday at The Proving Grounds. With the loss, Babson slips to 3-4 on the year, while Colorado College improves to 7-1 with its seventh win in row. Junior Samuel Mishkind (Chappaqua, N.Y.) and first-year Mason O'Hanlon (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) both scored twice, while junior Niall Dillon (Duxbury, Mass.) and sophomore Owen Allen (Franklin, Mass.) each contributed a goal and an assist. Mishkind scooped up a team-high five ground balls and first-year John Antaya (Duxbury, Mass.) caused two turnovers in the loss. Sophomore goalkeeper Christopher Aranalde (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) matched his season high with 14 saves in the loss. Junior Robbie Stern (Lafayette, Calif.), sophomore Tyler Borko (Atlanta, Ga.) and first-year Coby Petau (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) all finished four goals to lead the Tigers. Sophomore Parker Woo (Seattle, Wash.) helped Colorado College win 18-of-26 face-offs. Babson jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead behind goals from O'Hanlon and Dillon, but the Tigers responded with seven of the next eight tallies on its way to building an 8-4 advantage at halftime. Mishkind and O'Hanlon both scored in the third quarter and Aranalde stopped four shots in the stanza to stay within two entering the final frame. The Green and White could get no closer though as Colorado College opened the final period with five straight tallies to pull away. Babson returns to action when it travels to Trinity on Tuesday at 6 p.m., while the Tigers host MIT on Monday at 3 p.m.
